The fourth edition of the national clinical guideline for stroke has been published by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
Recommendations state that patients with stroke should be offered 45 minutes of appropriate therapies for a minimum of five days a week in the early stages after stroke so that patients can meet their rehabilitation goals. This level of intensive therapy should continue for as long as it is of benefit and the patient can tolerate it.
