Stroke Association working with The College of Occupational Therapists.
The innovative project is to develop a new web tool which will signpost stroke survivors to the help they may need in their recovery after stroke. It will be based on the 'everyday life' needs of stroke survivors, for example, if someone is experiencing difficulty in getting around their own home, the tool will indicate which professionals can help with either improving the person’s mobility or altering the home to suit the person better. Or if a stroke survivor is having communication problems, the tool will point to those professionals best able to offer support.
This bulletin is brought to you by Library and Knowledge Services. It aims to keep you up-to-date with therapeutic issues. At the beginning of each month, a librarian will update the bulletin with relevant information published in the preceding month. If there are areas you think we also need to cover, please let us know.
