All clinical staff working in hospitals should receive mandatory training in the care of patients with dementia, the first National Audit of Dementia
The report said that all frontline staff should receive basic dementia awareness training, half should be given training for enhanced knowledge of dementia care, and 10 per cent should gain specialist knowledge.
