At the 2010 AGM and study day, the RCSLT will feature case studies from services that have successfully improved outcomes for service users in addition to demonstrating cost efficiencies. The study day is aimed at practitioners and budget holders.

Stretch is commonly prescribed as part of physical rehabilitation in pain management programs, yet little is known about its effectiveness. A randomized controlled trial was conducted to investigate the effects of a 3-week stretch program on muscle extensibility and stretch tolerance in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain.

An intervention review to assess whether direct intervention aimed at improving the speech of children with dysarthria is more effective than no intervention at all.
