People with non-specific chronic low back pain who have participated in exercise programs have preferences about exercise: a qualitative study.
Slade SC, Molloy E, Keating JL
Australian Journal of Physiotherapy, 01 June 2009, vol./is. 55/2(115-121)
Question: What factors do participants in exercise programs for chronic low back pain perceive to be important for engagement and participation? People are likely to prefer and participate in exercise programs that are designed with consideration of their preferences, circumstances, and past exercise experiences. We propose that information about patient exercise preferences should be collected systematically.

Overground physical therapy gait training for chronic stroke patients with mobility deficits
Overground gait training forms a major part of physical therapy services for chronic stroke patients in almost every setting. Overground gait training refers to physical therapists' observation and cueing of the patient's walking pattern along with related exercises, but does not include high-technology aids such as functional electrical stimulation or body weight support.

Big Care Debate - OTs should engage with reform of adult care and support in England. The Government is offering everybody the chance to have their say on the reform of adult care and support in England. 'The Big Care Debate' has been launched with a public consultation document, or Green Paper, called Shaping the Future of Care Together.
Julia Scott, Chief Executive of the College of Occupational Therapists, attended the launch of Shaping the Future of Care Together. She described the Big Care Debate as a 'potentially historic opportunity to start the debate regarding the reform of both the funding and provision of care in England, thus completing the 1942 vision of William Beveridge, founder of the NHS and the welfare state.'
